I
want to share a story!
Here is what I would like to post for "If the fountain
could talk"!
Dear Fountain:
When I was in the Army from 1970-1972, I was
transferring from Ft. Bliss, Texas to Ft. Campbell,
Kentucky. In doing so, I passed through New
Orleans while I was on leave (the only time I have been
in New Orleans). I ended up staying in "New
Awlens" for 3 days, each night going to Pat O'Briens for
Hurricanes on my way to the Preservation Jazz Hall and
to see Pete Fountain. I haven't been back to New
Orleans since, but I vowed to get back there to have
true Hurricanes before I die. I buy the powdered
mix out here in California and make fake hurricanes, but
I want to have the real thing again. Great
times. LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL.
