If the Fountain Could Talk

We Would All be in Trouble!

And everyone has their own story of their favorite Pat O'Brien's experience--that is, if you can remember it!  If so, feel free to post your comments here.... Keep in mind that these stories are reviewed before they are actually posted to the site, in an effort to keep it clean! (Check out the terms of use if you have any concerns about it's use)..

I want to share a story!

Here is what I would like to post for "If the fountain could talk"!

Dear Fountain:

When I was in the Army from 1970-1972, I was transferring from Ft. Bliss, Texas to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.  In doing so, I passed through New Orleans while I was on leave (the only time I have been in New Orleans).  I ended up staying in "New Awlens" for 3 days, each night going to Pat O'Briens for Hurricanes on my way to the Preservation Jazz Hall and to see Pete Fountain.  I haven't been back to New Orleans since, but I vowed to get back there to have true Hurricanes before I die.  I buy the powdered mix out here in California and make fake hurricanes, but I want to have the real thing again.  Great times.  LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL.
