We Would All be in Trouble!
And everyone has their own story of
their favorite Pat O'Brien's experience--that is, if you can
remember it! If so, feel free to post your comments here....

I
want to share a story!
After growing up in Florida
and Texas, moving to Boston this year was a bit of a change.
So when my division at work decided to attend a conference in
NOLA in early December, I jumped at the chance to head back down
south. And thanks to Pat O'Brien's (and a few of those wonderful
hurricanes!), I felt right at home. Singing all night to "Rocky
Top," "Dixie," "The Perfect Country Song,"
and other southern classics at the piano bar was a much needed
rejuvenation.
I felt so good, in fact, that I gladly invited over a couple
of guys who wanted to come take their picture with my friends
and I. Turns out they went to Baylor, just a few hours from my
alma mater of Rice, and one of them went to high school with
a college bud of mine! After swapping stories and singing together
for a few more hours (and drinks), we dragged them out to the
Cat's Meow- this time to take the stage ourselves. We performed
the penultimate song of the south- "The Devil Went Down
to Georgia" and grooved into the wee hours. Realizing it
would soon be dawn, my friends finally dragged me away, but of
course we made a pit stop for coffee and beignets and discussed
many things that coworkers just shouldn't know. But as we all
agreed: what happens in New Orleans stays in New Orleans!
So as you might guess, I didn't exactly attend much of the conference
that next day, although I think I gave some people a bit of a
different view of this "nice" girl! Some of them are
still asking how I was feeling the next day... but what fun
is work without a little play? So here's the fateful picture
that started it all... and Charlie & Alan, if you're ever
in Boston, look me up (you've got my number!). Thanks for a much-needed
great evening!
