I
want to share a story!
I WAS AT THE 1962 MARDI
GRAS. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE VISITED PAT OBRIENS AND HAD A
COUPLE OF HURRICANES. THE ENTERPRISE WAS IN AND SINCE WE WERE
IN THE AIR FORCE (BILOXI, MISS.) WE WENT IN CIVIES SO AS TO NOT
CAUSE A RIOT. THERE WAS STILL SOME KIND ON OUTBREAK OF TROUBLE
AS I REMEMBER. I BELIEVE THE PADDY WAGON GOT TURNED OVER ON
ITS SIDE AND A COUPLE OF NAVY PEOPLE WENT TO THE SLAM. OF COURSE
THE AIR FORCE GUYS WERE ALL INNOCENT AND CONTINUED TO CELEBRATE
AND HAVE A GREAT TIME.
